Real-Time PCR
The advent of new PCR instruments that facilitate real-time monitoring of fluorescence during thermal cycling of a PCR reaction has been a significant development. Elimination of post amplification manipulation has resulted in a substantial time saving, multiplexing capabilities, improved sensitivity and specificity, and reduced carry-over contamination. Analysis of the progress of the reaction allows accurate quantification of the target sequence over a wide dynamic range.
Real-time PCR has found applications in many branches of biological science; these include gene expression analysis, diagnosis of infectious disease and genetic disorders.
Anagen has developed Real-Time PCR/RT-PCR primers and hydrolysis probes for the detection of human and veterinary infectious pathogens. A list of current products is given below.
